This was his third rehab start and the first time he went five innings. In his first start, he threw three perfect innings for Bradenton, but he lasted just 2.2 innings for Altoona is his last game. Liriano threw 79 pitches on the night, 52 went for strikes. Brooks Brown, Mike Zagurski and Vic Black combined for four shutout innings in relief. Alex Presley and Josh Harrison, at the top of the order, scored all five runs for Indianapolis.   AA: ALTOONA CURVE  Altoona was off today   A+: BRADENTON MARAUDERS Box Score Result:  Bradenton 9, St Lucie 1 Starting Pitcher: Adrian Sampson, RHP (4.86) – 4.2 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, 0 HR Top Hitter: Gregory Polanco, CF (.347) – 2-for-4, 2 2B, 4 RBI, BB Other Notable Performers: Alen Hanson, SS (.267) – 3-for-5, 2 Runs, 2 RBI Jose Osuna, 1B (.264) – 1-for-4, RBI Zack Von Rosenberg, RHP (5.06) – 2.1 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 0 K, 0 HR Game Notes: Gregory Polanco drove in four runs and Alen Hanson drove in a pair, as the Marauders scored six runs in the seventh inning to run away with a 9-1 victory over St Lucie. Polanco has 14 hits over the last nine games, while Hanson has reached base 12 times in the last six games. Five players in the Bradenton lineup had two or more hits in the game and only Willy Garcia didn’t reach base. Adrian Sampson had a strong start to his game, something that he has had trouble with this season. The only run scored off him came after he left the game. Ryan Hafner followed him with 1.2 scoreless innings, recording three of those outs by strikeout. Kyle Haynes threw the last two innings, giving up a single and a walk. Both Rodriguez and Hafner hit two batters apiece. Wyatt Mathisen had three hits after going hitless four games in a row. Immediately prior to that streak, he had a three hit and a two hit game. Josh Bell drove in his 25th run with a second inning sacrifice fly. Stetson Allie left the game after lining out in the second inning. The start of the game was delayed over an hour due to rain.
