Game Notes: Jameson Taillon rebounded well from his last start. The last time out, Taillon gave up four runs on eight hits in six innings. Carlos Mesa has a .960 OPS in 34 at-bats over his last ten games. Gift Ngoepe went 1-for-4 with his fifth triple of the year. Alex Dickerson stole his ninth base of the year and extended his hitting streak to five games.

Game Notes: Jose Osuna hit his 14th homer of the year. The first baseman has four homers in 29 at-bats over his last seven games. This month he has nine homers in 103 at-bats. Willy Garcia hit his 12th homer of the year. Garcia has been struggling since the start of June, with an OPS of .686 in June and .687 in July, heading in to tonight. Gregory Polanco was hitting for a .398/.472/.602 line in 93 at-bats in July coming in to tonight’s game. In his last five starts, Zack Dodson has allowed five earned runs in 29 innings, with a 21:9 K/BB ratio. John Dreker looked at what Dodson has been working on in his bullpen sessions.
