ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) -- Texas Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre has left Wednesday night's game against the Cleveland Indians with a strained left shoulder.
Beltre landed hard on his left side when he made a diving stop of Russ Canzler's grounder in the second inning.
After Beltre drew a walk in the third, Rangers manager Ron Washington and trainer Jamie Reed checked on the three-time All-Star. Beltre remained in the game before leaving when the Rangers took the field in the fifth.
Mike Olt replaced Beltre at third.
Beltre hit a two-run homer in the first, his 13th in his last 20 games. He came in batting .317 with 31 HRs and 90 RBIs.
