My how quickly things change when you hit the Hot Stove season. Just a couple days ago I wrote a post that said the Texas Rangers were prepared to throw a boatload of money at New York Yankees pitcher C.C. Sabathia. That report came from ESPN New York. Well now Danny Knobler of CBS Sports is saying that members of the Rangers front office are saying the opposite. @DKnobler: I’m sure there are other teams that think Rangers would go for Sabathia, as ESPN NY speculated. They aren’t even allowed to contact players of opposing teams yet, so why would they want reports out there saying they’re prepared to make a large offer? Someone either got loose lips and let the Rangers plans leak OR this is legit and the Rangers aren’t interested. Which is true? Who knows but its why I love this time of yea...
