The Rangers have a need at their number three spot in their lineup. Nelson Cruz is scheduled to hit free agency and he is not guaranteed to be coming back. Their options will be limited, but they do have an option that is likely a long shot. If the Los Angeles Dodgers decide to trade outfielder Matt Kemp, the Texas Rangers could be a trade option for him, according to Fox Sports' Ken Rosenthal. Robinson Cano is not an option for them because of their depth in the middle infield, Rosenthal says. The Dodgers have a surplus of outfielders and will likely look to trade one of them this offseason. They have Carl Crawford, Andre Ethier, Yasiel Puig and Kemp. There is nothing to suggest that a deal will happen, but if the Dodgers do in fact decide to trade Matt Kemp, you can expect more teams to jump in and try to land him. In 73 games this season, Kemp hit .270 with six home runs and 33 RBI's. Follow Robert on Twitter @RobertMurrayMLB Follow @mlbinjurynews Looking for fantasy baseball advice?
