A two-out double just inside the right field line by Wil Myers in the eighth inning was the break the Tampa Bay Rays needed Thursday night to salvage the final game of their three-game series with the AL East-leading Red Sox. Longoria doubled with one out to start the much-needed winning rally. Jake McGee who worked a perfect eighth inning got the victory. It was the second time in the game that Longoria and Myers teamed up for a run.
