Jose Molina appeared to have taken a pitch to his right knee in yesterday's game.  As we tweeted during the game, Molina appeared to try to walk off the hit-by-pitch, but he ultimately had to leave the game.  According to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times, Molina will be listed as day-to-day with a contusion on his quadriceps. Here's Topkin's update after the game: UPDATE, 12:10 AM: Maddon said the Rays “think he’s fine,’’ that it hit muscle and not bone, and though he will be sore and stiff and unlikely to play Sunday (Jose Lobaton was going to start anyway), it’s “nothing horrible.” Jesus Molina is probably the least notable of the Molina brothers.  Bother Benjie and Yadier were and are more productive in their careers.  Jose Molina has done enough, though.  He is a better defensive player than offensive as evidenced by his numbers.  Throughout his career, Molina is a .238/.286/.345 hitter. The Rays went with Jose Lobatan yesterday, but they have Sean Rodriguez and Ryan Roberts as possible third-string options.  If Molina has to miss any time, the Rays will likely not see a significant impact.  The team is underperforming as it is right now, but they are within striking distance of .500.  They need offense more than anything right now.   Follow @mlbinjurynews Looking for fantasy baseball advice?
