The Rays were on the verge of dropping a second straight game when they played the Minnesota Twins Tuesday afternoon. But an eighth inning rally completed their comeback to win 8-5. Starting pitcher Matt Moore started a bit shaky after giving up two runs in the first inning. He would be unable to get out of the third inning with two outs and finished his outing with two runs, two strikeouts, and two walks. With a 5-2 deficit in the eighth, the Rays put five runs on the board. Hits from Stephen Vogt, Hak-Ju Lee, Cole Figueroa, and Kevin Keirmaier were scored runners to make it 7-5 after the eighth inning. Tampa Bay’s eighth run would come courtesy of a double steal that had Brandon Guyer steal home. The Rays improved to 8-4 this spring. They have an off day Wednesday and play the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday. The post Rays pull out a win against the Twins appeared first on The Bay Cave.
