The Rays have reached one-year deals with four of their remaining arbitration-eligible players, the team announced Friday, in advance of the deadline to make a deal before the two sides would have to enter arbitration. Outfielders Sam Fuld and Matt Joyce, and pitcher Jeff Niemann and infielder Ryan Roberts all agreed to one-year deals. Fuld will earn 725,000, Joyce will earn 2.45 million, Niemann will earn 3 million and Roberts will earn 2.95 million, plus incentives, according to a release from the team. The Rays earlier in the offseason reached deals with Cy Young winner David Price and utility infielder Sean Rodriguez. Shortstop Reid Brignac remains the only player to not have a deal yet.

Rays and Niemann agree on a deal

Jeff Niemann agreed to a one-year, $3 million deal with the Rays for 2013 after losing arbitration.
