Brignac

What a month for the left side of the Tampa Rays infield. First, Busted Coverage tells you guys that Evan Longoria & Jaime Edmondson are dating and the dogs are getting along. Now, The Big Lead was tipped off that shortstop Reid Brignac has knocked up Miss July 2002, Lauren Anderson. These kids have been dating on-and-off, according to the Internet, since 2009. That was just after she broke it off with legendary Florida basketballer Matt Walsh.

We’re not talking a major WAG story here with Brignac-Anderson, but it is complex with the baby angle. Yes, she’s really pregnant, according to her Facebook page.

Our researchers tell us this is the only A.L. infield featuring two Playmate-dating infielders. Quite an accomplishment for the Rays who might not get paid much cash, but they get free admission to The Mansion. For those of you who want to buy Anderson and Brignac a baby gift, you can just make a quick trip to their baby registry. Do notice all the blue gifts.

As for how big of a catch this is for Anderson to get knocked up, let’s not get carried away. Reid only made $425,000 last season.

BC first became aware of Anderson when it was learned that she was dating the dreamy Florida national championship basketball player Matt Walsh. Of course we’d like to offer a golf clap to Anderson for dating up in the sports world. Brignac will stick in the majors for years as a defensive guy. The .231 BA isn’t going to get him out of the 8 or 9 hole but he’ll still be cashing MLB checks.
