The Red Sox put up their best game of the year with a 15-5 knockout of the Marlins at Fenway.

Nine hitters compiled 16 hits as the Red Sox ran away early in this one. Daniel Nava pushed his average to .333 with four hits, while Ryan Kalish, Kevin Youkilis, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, and Mike Aviles chipped in two apiece. Papi Ortiz led the way with four RBI coming on a grand slam.

Felix Doubront improved to 8-3 on a so-so outing -- four runs over six innings. He gave up nine hits, but walked no one.

Even Mark Melancon got in on the fun. A scoreless 9th dropped his ERA to 18.56.

With a Toronto loss, we have sole possession of 4th place in the East. Plan your celebrations accordingly.
