The right field ball girl made a great play on Eric Hosmer’s sharply hit line drive during the third inning of Friday night’s game between the Red Sox and Kansas City Royals at Fenway Park.
Too bad the ball was hit fair.
After fielding the scorching liner, she quickly realized what she had done and dropped the ball, perhaps hoping nobody at Fenway Park would notice. The umpires gave Hosmer a double and ruled that Omar Infante had to stop at third base.
