According to Nick Cafardo from the Boston Globe all eyes have been on Red Sox reliever Alfredo Aceves since his return from the World Baseball Classic. Speculation is swirling around the possibility of the Red Sox trading Aceves and his problems to another team.
Lots of scouts watching Red Sox relievers the past few days including Texas. There's a chance the Red Sox could move Alfredo Aceves.

This should come as no surprise to Red Sox fans as Aceves has been at the forefront of any and all Red Sox drama this spring. It started earlier this month when he refused to participate in a pitching drill as intended and ended with his participation in the WBC brawl between Mexico and Canada.
It's unfortunate the relationship between the Red Sox and Aceves has deteriorated to this point, but in the end perhaps a fresh start for both parties would be best.

Alfredo Aceves‘ brief World Baseball Classic stint only added to the pitcher’s controversial reputation. But don’t expect the Red Sox to make any drastic moves when it comes to the right-hander.
CBSSports.com’s Jon Heyman wrote in a column on Wednesday that the Red Sox should release Aceves because of his questionable behavior. It’s an opinion Heyman isn’t alone in, but...

In 2009, Jose Iglesias signed a contract with the Boston Red Sox when he was merely 19-years-old. He was projected to be the "next great" Boston Red Sox shortstop. Fast-forward to 2013 and Iglesias...
There are a number of new faces in the Boston Red Sox clubhouse. Offensive additions of Drew Sutton, Jonny Gomes, Shane Victorino, Stephen Drew and Mike Napoli highlight the Sox off-season.
Starting pitching seems to be the same from last year as Jon Lester is their ace and is as solid as they come. Last year was definitely his worst year, going 9-14, with a 4.82.... Read more
We knew Franklin Morales was out due to injury, but the prognosis seems to have worsened as Morales has a bulging disc according to Peter Abraham (and a bunch of other beat writers, but his tweet was the first I saw). There's no timetable on his return, and he had an epidural, according to Sean McAdam.
With Morales and Breslow both out, we know a few things. One: Andrew Miller...
PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (AP) -- Alfredo Aceves hit Tampa Bay's Sean Rodriguez with a pitch and the two had a heated exchange that nearly escalated into a fight in the fifth inning of the Boston Red Sox's 9-2 victory over the Rays on Saturday.
Rodriguez hit his third home run of spring training off Aceves in the third inning after Desmond Jennings reached on a bunt single. With...
David Ortiz‘s Opening Day status is still very much up in the air, but Friday brought some good news regarding the slugger’s health status.
Ortiz, who was shut down for five-to-seven days on Sunday after an MRI revealed inflammation in both of his heels, is responding well to the rest and medication he’s getting.
“Feels better. Symptoms have decreased. So the prescribed down...
The Red Sox continue to trim their roster.
The club announced after Friday’s game that catcher Dan Butler and pitcher Alex Wilson have been optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket, which is where both players concluded their 2012 season. About a week ago, Red Sox SS Stephen Drew took a pitch to the helmet and has yet to return, as he apparently is suffering post-concussion symptoms. Replacing the projected starter is the Sox is Jose Iglesias. Once arguably the Sox most coveted prospect, Iglesias' failure to improve his offensive talent left scouts less than impressed, regardless of his above-average defensive...

12:38 p.m.: The biggest thing to note in Friday’s lineup card for Game 1 is certainly Bryce Brentz.
Brentz is making his spring training debut after accidentally shooting himself in the leg back in January. He’ll get the start in right field, and he’ll once again roam the outfield alongside Jackie Bradley Jr., who gets the start in center.
Brentz, a first-round draft pick...
