So just worked on the side both in LA and more back home to just really try and repeat that as much as possible and make that consistent pitch for me.” That work paid nearly immediate dividends. Dempster May Get His Final 2013 Start Tonight

(AP Photo/The Canadian Press, Nathan Denette)To paraphrase the Lloyd Bridges character in the movie 'Airplane!', Ryan Dempster couldn't have picked a worse time to pitch poorly. White Sox-Red Sox Preview

The last time Ryan Dempster took the mound, he couldn't catch a break - from the Yankees or, later, the commissioner's office. The right-hander will look to get it together on Friday night as he leads the Boston Red Sox into a three-game series with the streaking Chicago White Sox at Fenway Park. In his last start, Dempster (6-9, 4.77 ERA) was pounded by New York, surrendering...

Shane Victorino’s Unique Offensive Adjustment Might Actually Be Result of Simple Logic

BOSTON — Shane Victorino doesn’t want to talk about it. Then again, there might not be much to talk about. Victorino, who is typically a switch-hitter, has been hitting solely right-handed of late, even against right-handed pitchers. It’s a very unique adjustment by the 32-year-old outfielder, although the reasoning behind Victorino’s change might actually be quite simple...
