The Red Sox hold a three-and-a-half-game lead on the Baltimore Orioles, but with Boston heading to Camden Yards for a four-game series starting Thursday, that lead can change in a hurry. Baltimore has had the Sox’ number in recent years, and these two clubs will be seeing a whole lot of each other over the rest of the season. They have met for just one series thus far, with the O’s taking two of three games at Fenway Park. The Boston Globe’s Peter Abraham joined Tom Caron to discuss the upcoming series and the potential effect it may have on the makeup of the American League East. Check it out in the video above.

Jacoby Ellsbury Is Quietly 'Stealing The Show'

Getty ImagesDon't look now, but Jacoby Ellsbury's 30 stolen bases have him tied for the major-league lead. The Padres' Evereth Cabrera (who, by the way, has been linked to the Florida PED clinic) also has 30 thefts this year. Last night, Ellsbury's streak of 18 consecutive steals was broken by Baltimore's Matt Wieters—but his other streak (steals in six consecutive...

Jacoby Ellsbury’s Hot Streak Creating Wave That Red Sox Must Ride, As Unpredictability Will Always Loom

Jacoby Ellsbury’s season has essentially been a microcosm of his career. He’s been up. He’s been down. He’s been injured. He’s been criticized. He’s been defended. And he’s been arguably the most difficult player on the Red Sox to gauge. Sounds familiar, right? This season is a big one for Ellsbury because of his impending free agency. The hope was that Ellsbury could...

Mike Napoli Exits Game Against Orioles Because of Illness

Mike Napoli is apparently feeling under the weather. Napoli, who started Thursday’s game at first base, was replaced by Mike Carp before the start of the bottom of the third inning. He later...

2013 All-Star Game: Making the case for Nava

The Guru Contributing Writer There are nine Boston Red Sox players listed on the 2013 All-Star ballot, one for every position, including designated hitter.
