The competitive nature of one of the American League East’s hottest rivalries extended beyond the playing field on Monday night, as the Red Sox and Rays continued to talk trash on Twitter after the final out. Following the Rays 2-1 win against the Sox, a win that helped them overtake the Sox and secure a half-game lead in the AL East, the Rays official Twitter account threw a nice little jab at Red Sox Nation: Dear @RedSox scoreboard operator – your standings are wrong.
