The Red Sox starting rotation is a mess right now, that much is clear. They are currently approaching filling the 2 open spots in the rotation in a very Yankees esque manner, signing Aaron Cook, Carlos Silva, and Vincente Padilla to minor league deals. They have little to no budget room currently and have had trouble finding reliable options for the rotation. The Red Sox boast a top 3 of Beckett, Lester, and Buchholz that many teams would kill for, yet the rotation still needs a lot of work. There are many options out there, and Ben Cherrington will have to make the right decision to fill the spots or the Red Sox will be in trouble. Daniel Bard I’m totally against Daniel Bard being moved to the rotation for a variety of reasons. My biggest reason is that I don’t think that he could pitch 150+ innings in a season. We all saw what happened to Bard in September when he was heavily overworked. He had a 10.64 ERA in September and was clearly overworked. His best attribute is...
