The big news swirling around the Red Sox is their reported interest in several free agents. However, the team did make a minor trade on Wednesday. The Red Sox announced that they have traded pitcher Zach Stewart to the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for a player to be named later. Stewart, who was acquired along with Brent Lillibridge in the deal that sent Kevin Youkilis to the White Sox, made two starts with Boston. He gave up nine runs in three innings on Aug. 29 against the Angels, and then surrendered five earned runs in 2 2/3 innings on Sept. 30 against  the Orioles. Stewart also made 11 regular season starts for Triple-A Pawtucket after coming over in the Youkilis deal. The 26-year-old is 3-10 with a 6.82 ERA in 33 appearances (14 starts) in his big league career. Click here to see which free agents the Red Sox are reportedly targeting >>
