Second baseman Brandon Phillips said he doesn't think he will be staying with the Cincinnati Reds after this season.
Phillips, 29, is in his sixth straight season as Cincinnati's starting second baseman. He was an All-Star a year ago and is batting .281 with five homers and 36 RBI this season.
"It's going to be hard to keep me here," Phillips told ESPN.com. "I'm just trying to be fair. I don't want Jayson Werth money or CC Sabathia money."
Phillips is making $11.4 million this season and has a $12 million option for the 2012 season that the Reds can buy out for $1 million. The Reds rank 19th in overall payroll at just under $76 million.
