Reds agree to contract with Ryan Hanigan

The Reds have reportedly agreed with Ryan Hanigan on a three-year/$4 million extension. Good stuff…as is this: Jocketty said clubs have inquired about the Reds catching. The Reds have Hanigan and Ramon Hernandez, plus top prospect Devin Mesoraco and last year’s top pick Yasmani Grandal. They also have Corky Miller, a solid catch-and-throw guy, slated for Triple-A “We’ve said no,” Jocketty said. “We don’t want to give up our surplus.” Yet. Jocketty is dealing from a position of strength, and that’s a very good thing.
