The Phillies are closing in on an “everything must go” sale as they again lost on Friday and are now 13 games back of the first place Washington Nationals. Though the team is not ready just yet to waive the white flag, teams are beginning to call about available players. Buster Olney notes that the Reds among other teams have called about Juan Pierre.
With the various injuries on the Phillies roster, Pierre has seen everyday playing time and has posted a .317/.355/.387 line with 20 steals.
