The Cincinnati Reds activated righthander Homer Bailey from the 15-day disabled list Sunday for a start against the Baltimore Orioles.
Bailey had been sidelined since late May with a sprain in his right shoulder. He began the season on the DL before making his debut in May and going 3-1 with a 3.00 ERA in five starts.
To make room for Bailey on the roster, the Reds optioned righthander Carlos Fisher to Triple-A Louisville. Fisher is 0-3 with a 3.71 ERA in 17 innings over 10 relief appearances this season.
