Bronson Arroyo Alfredo Simon and Jonathan Broxton combined for a two-hit shutout as the Reds beat the Chicago Cubs 5-0 before a crowd of 33642 on a cool breezy day at Wrigley Field. The win completed the Reds' three-game sweep of the Cubs. It was the final meeting between the teams in Chicago this year. The Reds are going to miss the Friendly Confines: They won nine of 10 here this year. They are 22-4 at Wrigley the last two years. The Reds have won seven of eight overall. They are a season-high 16 games over .500 at 68-52. Arroyo (11-9) threw seven innings of two-hit shutout ball. He walked none and struck out seven. He threw 92 pitches. Todd Frazier led the offense with a home run a double and two RBI. Zack Cozart went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Frazier jumped on a first-pitch fastball from Chicago starter Chris Rusin in the first inning and hit it onto Waveland Avenue. It was Frazier's 11th of the year but his first since July 1. Rusin did not allow another hit until Cozart singled with one out in the fifth. Ryan Hanigan followed with a drive into right-center that David DeJesus made a diving attempt at. It got by him for a double. Cozart scored to make it 2-0. The Reds added a run in the seventh. Jay Bruce doubled down the right-field line. An out later Cozart doubled down the left-field line to score Bruce.
