The Reds have right-hander Greg Reynolds ready to start the final game of their series against the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday. Left-hander Tony Cingrani strained his lower back in his start Tuesday against Arizona, forcing him out in the fourth inning. The Reds lost 5-2. Cingrani said his back has been bothering him for some time. He's scheduled to start Sunday against the Brewers. Cingrani said on Saturday that he's taken drugs to get rid of the inflammation and his back is feeling much better. Manager Dusty Baker said the club is leaning toward Reynolds, who would make his second start of the season. Reynolds pitched five innings of a 5-3 loss in San Francisco on July 23. A decision was expected after Saturday night's game.

Mat Latos' slider dubbed 'toughest pitch to hit home run off of'

Mat Latos has been far and away the most reliable starting pitcher for the Reds in 2013. In fact, the right-hander has been nothing short of great since joining Cincinnati prior to the 2012 campaign. Since becoming a Red, the Florida native is an outstanding 27-8 with a tidy 3.24 ERA spanning 59 starts and 378 innings pitched. There have been several factors which have led to his...

Reds in need of rebound after tough loss

In the day and age of instantaneous uproar over the...
