A recent article on ESPN.com reflects on Cincinnati Reds second baseman, Brandon Phillips, and how he has matured as a person and ballplayer through the world of social media and Twitter. Phillips has been widely criticized within baseball by those who question his hustle and commitment to the game, but since the creation of his twitter account, @DatDudeBP, he seems to have matured. Now Phillips is constantly interacting with fans and getting along better with his teammates, instead of the PR nightmare the Reds feared when he first created the twitter account. One thing the Reds may have to worry about, however, is their ability to keep Phillips in Cincinnati past next season.
