Reds-heisey-waits-rockies
The Cincinnati Reds were hoping to have outfielder Chris Heisey back from injury in the not too distant future, as he had been spending time on a minor league rehab assignment. However, it looks like this return will be pushed back, as Heisey recently re-strained his hamstring, according to John Fay of The Cincinnati Enquirer. Heisey re-strained his hamstring. He's off rehab. Went back to Cincinnati to get evaluated. Not sure of the severity. #reds @cincienquirer — John Fay (@johnfayman) May 14, 2013 As a result of the aggravation, Heisey has been removed from rehab and was sent to Cincinnati for evaluation. At this point, there’s no word on the severity of the re-strain. The Reds were hoping to get Heisey back at some point this week, but that will almost certainly not happen unless this proves to be nothing. He’s been sidelined due to the injured hamstring since the end of April. In Heisey’s absence, the Reds have used a combination of Xavier Paul and Derrick Robinson in left field.
