Cincinnati had double the fun on Friday as the team partook in a split-squad doubleheader. Homer Bailey got the starting nod at home as the Reds (4-3-1) went on to defeat the Royals (4-3) 5-1 at Goodyear Ballpark. Meanwhile, the rest of Dusty Baker's bunch took to the road and were treated to a 6-3 loss against the Giants (5-2) in Scottsdale. Here's the good, the bad and some notables from both games today.The Good:vs. Royals-Bailey looked sharp in his second outing of the spring tossing three innings of scoreless ball.
-The bullpen fared quite well in their own right, combining for six innings pitched, one run, four hits, a walk and five punchouts. Josh Judy, Pedro Villarreal, Andrew Brackman and Nick Christiani all contributed to the effort.
-Donald Lutz provided most of the team's scoring by delivering a 3-run homer in the bottom of the fourth. It was his second of the preseason.
