Cincinnati Reds third baseman Todd Frazier gave Reds batboy Ted Kremer a moment he will never forget Thursday night. With Cincinnati leading the Marlins 9-1 in the sixth inning, Kremer, a lifelong Reds fan who suffers from Down syndrome, asked Frazier to hit a home run for him. Frazier’s response? Sure. The third baseman took Miami’s John Maine deep to center for a two-run homer in the bottom of the frame, capping off an 11-1 rout and providing Kremer with a memory the young man will never forget. “He is so funny,” Frazier told Cincinnati.com. “He said, ‘come on man, hit me a home run. I love you.’ And I said ‘I love you, too. I’ll hit you one. It was great how excited, that look, I started smiling before I even hit home plate. “He’s such a great guy… Even if you have a terrible day, you can’t be mad with a guy like that around.” Check out the video of the homer and a touching photo of Kremer’s reaction below.
