After a much needed off-day yesterday, the Reds (29-22) got right back on the winning track en route to a 4-1 victory over the Astros (22-30) on Friday night. Mike Leake led the way with a strong 7-inning performance and Jay Bruce hit another homer to provide all the offense needed. Cincinnati now sits in first place 2.5 games ahead of the nearest St. Louis Cardinals.

-Mike Leake (2-5) pitched seven innings allowing only four hits and one run. He also struck out seven.
-The boys jumped out to an early lead after plating two runs in the top half of the first.
-Logan Ondrusek pitched one scoreless inning in relief.
-Aroldis Chapman came in for the save (4) and struck out ALL 3 batters he faced. He lit up the scoreboard with triple digit radar readings on most of his fastballs.
-Jay Bruce hit a home run (12) in the 9th to finish the day with two RBI, while also scoring a run.
