Found November 14, 2012 on Pro Sports Daily:
The Seattle Mariners, looking to bolster their hitting in 2013, are interested in slugging outfielder Josh Hamilton. Mariners president Chuck Armstrong told CBSSports.com that the team, led by general manager Jack Zduriencik, is still setting its course for free agency. "We are going to have more money to spend," Armstrong said. "And we do need offense." The Mariners ranked at the bottom of the American league this past season in numerous hitting categories, including battling average, total bases and runs. Armstrong said Zduriencik "hasn't given me a proposal yet, so I can't gauge our level of interest yet" on Hamilton. Hamilton hit .285 with 43 homers and 128 RBI in 148 games last season, his fifth with Texas.

Josh Hamilton to the Phillies? No Thanks.

After reading of the Phillies reported interest in Josh Hamilton, my mind began to wander. Admittedly, like most fans, I would love the idea of another power bat in the lineup that has the potential to have a major impact on a team that struggled all season to score runs; but I began to wonder if Hamilton is right for our team. While I have no doubt that the Phillies are performing...

The Seattle Mariners’ Frivolous New Video Board

Fresh off another losing season — 7 out of the last 9, for those counting at home — the Seattle Mariners did what any franchise would do following such a run of ineptness: raise season ticket prices without telling anyone. Hamilton?

There are conflicting reports about whether the Sox will go after Josh Hamilton. Cherington has praise for him, but says they're looking at all options. It's a classic free agent gamble, because he reportedly wants seven years and $175 million (he's 31), but it also has the twist of Hamilton's history, which is famously checkered. And it's certainly interesting...

Hot Stove: Phils’ Prez Interested in Hamilton?

The biggest piece of news today came from a Tweet from CBS Sports’ Jon Heyman. Heyman noted that Phillies’ President Dave Montgomery, when asked of the club’s interest in Josh Hamilton, stated “I don’t think there’s a whole lot we’re not considering.” Is this lip service, a coy hint about Hamilton, or an indication of wholesale change? It likely falls somewhere between...
