Indians right fielder Shin-Soo Choo is expected to be back in the starting lineup Tuesday when Cleveland begins a series against the Chicago White Sox. Manager Manny Acta said after Sunday’s game that Choo should be back then, which will mark the one-week date from when he was injured. As a reminder, Choo left this past Tuesday’s game against the Kansas City Royals because of a tight left hamstring. He departed for a pinch hitter in the eighth inning and initial worries were that he might head to the disabled list. He was simply listed as day-to-day then for the next several games. Paul Hoynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reported earlier Sunday that Choo would need to pass some running tests before Sunday’s game to be cleared to return to action soon. Based on the post-game tweets, it appears he passed those tests and should be set to come back to help out the first-place Tribe starting on Tuesday. The Cleveland Indians aren’t very offensive right now

It is the outfield and first base. Since they signed Johnny Damon, they should check and see if two more fomer Oakland A’s are available:  Ricky Henderson and Jose Canseco. They couldn’t do much worse and they would surely generate fan interest. For first base, how about Richie Sexson? Isn’t it time to once again bring Russell Branyan back?
