The Minnesota Twins have reached an agreement with free-agent shortstop Jamey Carroll, according to an ESPN report.
The 37-year-old is expected to take over the starting job after the team had a revolving door at the spot last season. Terms of the deal were not yet known.
Carroll spent last year with the Los Angeles Dodgers, hitting .290 in 146 games.The 10-year-veteran is a .278 career hitter and has the ability to play multiple positions.
