Reporter Julie Tristan is becoming known this across the country, and it’s not for a good reason. The host of KSDK’s “Show Me St. Louis!” did a feature last week on Cardinals third baseman David Freese riding the new Mr. Freeze ride at Six Flags St. Louis. For some reason, Tristan took the opportunity to shamelessly hit on the the ballplayer repeatedly. Some of her choice lines included: “We’re going to hit on you, heavily.” “I think what everyone wants to know is … do you have a girlfriend???” “Do you prefer blondes or brunettes?” “Last question: Do you think we’re pretty?” “Isn’t he just the cutest? We look perfect together!” Tristan of course capped it all off by saying of Freese, “I love you.” Videos of women asking out professional athletes are cute when they involve a service person and a choreographed invite to a military ball, not an actual TV reporter. A word of advice for Tristan after that pathetic display: Express your crushes on your personal time, not whe

Reporter Repeatedly Hits on David Freese During Interview

Reporter Julie Tristan is becoming known this across the country, and it’s not for a good reason. The host of KSDK’s “Show Me St. Louis!” did a feature last week on Cardinals third baseman David Freese riding the new Mr. Freeze ride at Six Flags St. Louis. Reporter hits on David Freese during interview

I’ll admit that 2011 World Series MVP, Cardinals third baseman, David Freese isn’t an ugly-looking dude. But to the Julie Tristan, the host of KSDK’s “Show me St. Louis”, Freese is Brad Pitt, David Beckham and puppies all wrapped in one. Tristan did some fluff segment on a new ride at Six Flags St. Louis called Mr. Freeze. For some reason, Tristan took her interview...

Julie Tristan sets female reporters back a half century with embarrassing David Freese interview

Stl. Cardinals David Freese subjected to jersey chaser with microphone and camera (video)

The cliche about a train wreck being something that’s awful to look at, but yet you still can’t turn your head away…well the video that follows is like Amtrak’s entire fleet (I know fleets are for boats, but what is a large group of trains called?) being destroyed. David Freese of the St. Louis Cardinals clearly doesn’t want to be here. You can see just how uncomfortable...

Boggs showing his value for Cards this season

ST. LOUIS Cardinals reliever Mitchell Boggs couldn't find his way onto the mound in a meaningful spot during their World Series run last year. Now he's one of the most valuable arms in the St. Louis bullpen. Taking advantage of a fresh start with new manager Mike Matheny, the hard-throwing Boggs has been one of the best relievers in the National League through the first...

Third and fourth chances for World Champs ring coming

On the heels of the St. Louis Cardinals’ popular 2011 World Championship ring giveaway and a shadow promotion at their organization-owned Double-A club in Springfield, both clubs are planning a second-chance date ahead. St. Louis will run their second ring promotion on Friday, July 6, as the Cardinals match up against the Miami Marlins.  All fans who attend the game will receive...

St. Louis Cardinals lineup better with balance and without Pujols

The St. Louis Cardinals lost a huge part of their offense when Albert Pujols signed a 10-year, $240-million deal with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, but that also forced the team to build a more balanced lineup. Now every spot in the order consistently pushes across enough runs to put the Cardinals atop the NL Central as April comes to a close. But, the margin for error is much...

Cards run themselves into another tough loss

ST. LOUIS The Cardinals finished April with a 14-8 record and will be in first place when the calendar flips to May come Tuesday. But with that comes the sting of several losses similar to Sunday that kept them from having a potentially historic month. The Cardinals lost 3-2 to the Milwaukee Brewers Sunday, missing on a chance to sweep the division champs by running into the final...

Cardinals have moved on well minus Pujols

After their biggest stars left town this past offseason, the St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers had plenty of doubters. That'll happen when two of the best hitters in baseball now, and maybe ever are no longer in your lineup. And despite signing other power hitters to try filling those enormous gaps, both teams had consented there was no replacing an Albert Pujols or...

ST. LOUIS -- One man died and about 100 were injured Saturday when strong winds blew over a tent at a popular downtown sports bar near Busch Stadium. Sixteen people were transported to area hospitals with injuries ranging from minor to severe. At least four sustained critical injuries, and others were treated at the scene, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The man who...

Molina's homer snaps tie, Cards top Brewers

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Yadier Molina tied his career high by going 4-for-4 with a two-run homer, and Kyle Lohse allowed three runs over six innings to run his record to 4-0 for the first time as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Milwaukee Brewers 7-3 on Saturday. Molina's home run to left field with one out in the sixth off Milwaukee starter Marco Estrada (0-1) broke a 3-3 tie...

Cardinals score 8 in 3rd in win over Brewers

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Jake Westbrook gave up one run over seven innings and St. Louis exploded for eight runs in the third inning in a 13-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night. St. Louis, which set a season high both for runs in an inning and in a game, won for the eighth time in its last 12. Milwaukee has lost three of five. Westbrook (3-1) gave up seven hits, struck out...

Cardinals miss out on sweep of Brewers

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Zack Greinke worked six strong innings and Jonathan Lucroy's two-run double capped a three-run sixth as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the St. Louis Cardinals 3-2 Sunday to avoid a three-game sweep. Greinke (3-1) allowed a run on seven hits to help stop the Brewers' six-game road losing streak. He's 2-1 with a 2.11 ERA in four career games in St. Louis...

Other clubs' Florida base plans affect Cards

Several Florida spring clubs may relocate while another is trying to attract a second tenant. Even though the St. Louis Cardinals are not directly involved, they will feel the impact of any future changes, whether positive or negative.
