Found June 23, 2012 on Feelin' Kinda Blue:
Ken Rosenthal and Jon Paul Morosi of FOX Sports put out word late last night that Kevin Youkilis is likely to be traded soon. They view the White Sox as the favorite to land Youkilis, but the Dodgers are still a possibility. Scott Miller of CBS Sports agrees with Rosenthal and Morosi that Chicago remains the favorite. However, he writes the Dodgers and other teams are "... pushing hard, too." I haven't written much about Youkilis in the last few weeks, but I'm on board with this potential acquisition -- at the right price. Boston is reportedly willing to eat some of Youkilis' remaining $7 million salary to get a better prospect in return. The Dodgers are in a position to eat some salary to avoid having to give up a better prospect in return. It's been a long time since Dodger fans could make a statement like that. Youkilis, 33, also has a club option for 2013 at $13 million with a $1 million buyout. The way he's performing this season ...

Report: Red Sox finally trade Kevin Youkilis

After months of speculation, especially the last week which gave entirely too much time to it, Kevin Youkilis has reportedly been traded from the Boston Red Sox to the Chicago White Sox (insert dumb joke here.)  I get the sentimentality from Red Sox fan, but the national attention that this story received is beyond ridiculous.   Youk [...]

Kevin Youkilis: Welcome to Mount Olympus

The traveling Greek God of Walks. Sunday afternoon, the Boston Red Sox sent Kevin Youkilis to Chicago’s south side. Drafted, crafted and debuted as a Red Sox player, Youkilis now joins only the second team of his career. His numbers this season have taken a precipitous decline with injuries, but as recently as 2011, Youk’ had a 127 wRC+ and 3.7 WAR while playing primarily third...

However, one White Sox fan clearly took the news the hardest, as seen in the video below. The video was tweeted out by the young fan's father and retweeted by both Lillibridge and current White Sox player...

It starts on Friday with Middlebrooks, who will make his second straight start in the infield...

After nine seasons, Kevin Youkilis' tenure in Boston came to a close Sunday as he was traded to the Chicago White Sox for Brent Lillibridge and Zach Stewart. That move cleared the way for Will Middlebrooks to become the Red Sox' everyday third baseman. The only question remaining is whether Middlebrooks will fulfill the Red Sox' hopes at third. Red Sox News & Notes - 6/25

On a day where Cody Ross hit two home runs to help the Boston Red Sox to a 9-4 win over the Atlanta Braves, you would think that was the biggest story of the day. Or that Aaron Cook had a serviceable outing and the bullpen picked him up with four solid innings. Nope, the big story of the day was the fact it was the last game that Kevin Youkilis played in a Red Sox uniform....
