Dodgers GM Ned Colletti and Yankee officials have stated that the two teams have not had any discussions about sending Cano to the Dodgers. This is exactly what I predicted. These are just a bunch of rumors for now. Colletti said that they haven't had any talks with the Yankees since July. That shows that the two teams haven't really gone anywhere in negotiations.
I don't think the Yanks would send Kevin Long to the Dominican Republic to help out Cano, and then trade him away to the Dodgers. It just doesn't make sense.
Believe me..I think Matt Kemp is a terrific player. At the moment though, Cano doesn't have the value he once had and I think he has a very bright future. One down year and everybody has jumped off the bandwagon. In 2007, everyone thought he was a terrific player..it just disgusts me how everyone can turn on a player like that.
