The Colorado Rockies have designated infielder Alfredo Amezaga for assignment according to the team official Twitter account.

The team signed Amezaga back in January to add some infield depth. Amezaga played in the Majors for the last time in 2009 with the Marlins. He hit .217/.267/.261 with 5 RBI's.
