Sporting News staff reports
On the heels of the Colorado Rockies' amazing turnaround and second postseason berth in the past three seasons, manager Jim Tracy and general manager Dan O'Dowd soon could have multiyear deals.
The Denver Post reported the team is expected to finalize an extension with O'Dowd in the next few days, then turn its attention to an extension for Tracy.
Tracy was named interim manager on May 29 when the Rockies fired Clint Hurdle, and the interim tag apparently is about to come off after Tracy led the team to a 74-42 record and the NL wild card berth.
