The Colorado Rockies announced today that the club has officially agreed to terms on a contract extension for right-handed relief pitcher and closer Rafael Betancourt. The new deal has Betancourt making $4MM this year, $4.25MM in 2013, and includes a $4.25MM option for 2014.

The Rockies' right-handed reliever agreed Wednesday to an $8.5 million, two-year contract that guarantees him an additional $4.25 million.
