Sunday afternoon began with legendary Dodgers announcer Vin Scully paying tribute to Rockies icon Todd Helton. "Todd I know I am a bit presumptuous when I speak for the Dodger organization for all of the fans in Southern California and for that matter all the fans who love baseball to wish you well" Scully said via a video message on the outfield scoreboards. "On behalf of all of those Dodger pitchers who you mistreated for so many years have a wonderful life after baseball." With the stage eloquently set the Rockies and Dodgers played their final game of the regular season. The Rockies won 2-1 holding the Dodgers to just five hits. Colorado finished the season 74-88 and in last place in the National League West.
