Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Rickie Weeks has been unable to break loose at the plate this year. If Weeks weren't among the NL leaders in walks, his skid would be even more disastrous. However, manager Ron Roenicke said he didn't think the time had come to give Weeks a day off. "Actually, I think his at-bats have been better," Roenicke said. "He did something a little different with his hands (Tuesday), and I actually thought he was on time with most of his swings." Weeks went 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts Wednesday in the Brewers' 2-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Roenicke said every player faces a loss in confidence during prolonged slumps, and Weeks is no different.
