Kacy Clemens, son of seven-time Cy Young Award winner Roger Clemens, is going to be following in his famous father's footsteps. Not as a member of the Houston Astros, but as a Texas Longhorn. "It was great to hear his name called and always an honor to be selected," Roger Clemens told the Houston Chronicle. "His sights will be set on the 'The University' to get his education and get the Horns back to Omaha!" Clemens was 8-0 with a 1.09 ERA this season earning Rawlings second-team All-American honors at Memorial High School in Houston prompting the Astros to draft him in the 35th round of the MLB amateur draft over the weekend. Despite Clemens decision to attend Texas, the young pitcher was still excited to hear his hometown team draft him. "Got drafted by the Houston Astros! Pretty cool! But I will still be a longhorn! Hook 'em!," Clemens said via Twitter. Got drafted by the Houston Astros! Pretty cool! But I will still be a longhorn! Hook'em! Kacy Clemens (@KClemens21) June 8, 2013 Clemens older brother, Koby Clemens, was also drafted by the Astros in the 8th round of the 2005 MLB amateur draft, however he did sign with the team opting to not attend Texas after signing to play first base for the Longhorns.
