He gave up two runs in the first two innings, but was able to throw zeroes until he was taken out for a pinch hitter. Niese needs to stay in the game. He goes five innings, allowing two runs on four hits, four walks and five strikeouts. He walks away with a no decision. Manny Acosta pitches a one-two-three inning with a K. Parnell pitched a shaky 1.2 innings with four hits and one walk but was able to walk away without allowing a run to score. Byrdak finishes off the eighth inning with a strikeout.
