The Kansas City Royals activated Kyle Davies from the 15-day disabled list, and the right-hander will start Saturday's game against the Colorado Rockies.
Davies was placed on the DL on May 17 with right rotator cuff inflammation. Before the injury, he was 1-6 with a 7.46 ERA in 10 starts. He was 1-3 with a 2.70 ERA in two rehab starts at Double- A Northwest Arkansas and two relief appearances for Triple-A Omaha.
To make room for Davies, the Royals optioned outfielder Jarrod Dyson to Omaha.
