Matt Herges made the start and gave up a 2-run homer in the 1st but the O-Royals answered with 3 in their half on a Scott Thorman RBI groundout and 2-run Jai Miller single. The teams took turns stranding runners until Gaby Hernandez returned to old form and gave up a solo homer to Justin Smoak to tie it in the 5th.
