The Kansas City Royals activated right-hander Kyle Davies from the 15-day disabled list to make Saturday's start against the Colorado Rockies. Davies has been out since May because of right rotator cuff inflammation. He made four rehab appearances - two starts - in the minors before being activated. The Royals optioned outfielder Jarrod Dyson to Triple-A Omaha to make room on the roster for Davies. Davies has had a rough season to this point, going 1-6 with a 7.46 ERA in 10 starts.
