(by Jeff Bergin) The 2009 season was slated as a make or break year for Ryan Zimmerman. As ESPN fantasy analysis wrote, "Zimmerman should be healthy for 2009 and ready to resume numbers in the 20-HR, 90-RBIs range, but fantasy owners would like to know what his ceiling is." After posting numbers in the .290/20/90 area for two seasons, many pegged Zimm as a low power yet productive, streaky hitter whose plus defense is where you get your real benefit. Meaning, in fantasy baseball, there is little separating him and Garret Atkins and miles separating him from Evan Longoria and David Wright.
