That’s right…the REAL Sammy Sosa, who told you about his Pinterest that is really him, and his Facebook that is really him, plus the Twitter that is really him, now REALLY has a TV show on Ustream.  It’s either the real Sammy Sosa or a Terminator-like automaton designed to fool you into thinking it’s Sammy Sosa, but he says it’s HIM DAMMIT.  Here are some highlights… I am an unabashedly passionate Sammy Sosa fan.  The player, not the person.  But I have to say that the person that I saw on the tube was pretty likable.  He’s always smiling. Took a few moments to set up.  ”Hey fellas, how ya doin’!”  He got a prompt from a female voice and talked about his personal life, with his business and his new one-year-old daughter  He still follows the Cubs, and he thinks the team is on the right track despite the recent struggles. As for renewing his relationship with the Cubs, Sammy said he saw an e-mail suggesting that Tom Ricketts is interested in mending fences, and he says he will gladly speak to them when they want to reach out; they know where he is.  He didn’t really address coaching for the Cubs, suggesting that he’s not ready for that yet. He said some stuff in Spanish to his Spanish-speaking viewers.  Don’t ask me to translate, I took French.  Useless! Sammy has an academy in the Dominican Republic where he actually helps train young kids.  His brother helps out down there, and it is aptly named the “Sammy Sosa Academy.”  He also has a self-named charity in the Dominican.  Really cool stuff.  Someone asked him if he was considering running for President of the Dominican, which got a chuckle out of Sammy, but he’s waiting for his right time for that too. As his favorite moment as a Chicago Cub player, he obviously has a lot…but he discussed 1998 first, with the famous home run chase/derby between he and Mark McGwire.  He said he really enjoyed the fans in the right field bleachers as well.  He was especially happy about the first time he his #62 in a season, and also his 600th home run when he was with the Rangers.  He also believes that he and McGwire deserve to be in the Hall of Fame, but is comfortable with waiting.  He would definitely be happy if his number was retired at Wrigley Field. A lot of people apparently asked about his clothing choices.  Sammy likes to dress nice.  Haha About Lance Armstrong: he wishes Lance the best, but says it’s not his business and hopes that Lance continues to have good fortune in his life (paraphrased). Sammy Sosa signed off after 10 minutes with his signature kiss and salute. I miss Sammy Sosa.
