MLB News: The San Diego Padres recalled left hander Robbie Erlin from Triple-A Tucson on Wednesday. To make room for him, Thad Weber was optioned to Triple-A Tucson. Erlin is one of the Padres top pitching prospects and while he has struggled early on in 2013, has put up some very good numbers during his career.
Fantasy Ramifications: If you have a spot on your roster that you can stash him, you could do worse. While he won’t produce much to start, he has a shot at turning into one of their rotational starters down the line.

When Chase Headley came off the DL last week, there was obviously a belief that he would help spur the Padres offense and perhaps turn San Diego into the streaking demons they were in the second half last season. Of course, through five games with Headley back in the lineup, San Diego is 1-4 and has scored a total of three runs in those four losses. For his part, Headley has a .675...

Carlos Quentin and Zack Greinke are passionate when it comes to playing on the diamond, but when actions and words were alive in the April 11 brawl, things may have gone slightly overboard. Quentin, who returned Tuesday after an eight-game suspension for charging the mound, talked to the media about his return and mentioned his prompt conversation with Greinke...
