The Padres returned from the All-Start break to beat the Dodgers two games out of three in Los Angeles to start their role of spoilers by knocking the Dodgers out of first place. After a rough loss to open the series on Friday, the Padres won one of the most exciting games of season when Everth Cabrera stole home with two outs in the ninth, causing the Dodgers to throw the ball away and allow the winning run to score as well. The Padres then took advantage of five Dodger errors, taking the lead and then blowing the game open in a 7-2 win on Sunday. They will come home to face the Astros in a four game series starting tomorrow, Houston will limp into San Diego after getting swept by the Giants in San Francisco.
