Peter Abraham of The Boston Globe says (via Twitter) that infielder Angel Berroa was released by the San Francisco Giants.
“No regrets,” Berroa said. “As John McGraw once told me, baseball is a tough game.”
The Giants signed Berroa to a Minor League contract at the end of April. He was with the Los Angeles Dodgers during Spring Training this year, but was released at the end of March.
Berroa, 32, is a lifetime .258/.303/.374 hitter in 9 seasons with the Royals, Dodgers, Yankees and Mets.
